Tranquility is not freedom from the storm,
it is peace amidst the storm. Anonymous
Today you are one step closer to feeling empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.
Compassion, warmth and humor is what you will experience when we work together. My goal is to support you in making the shifts that will lead you to experiencing more joy and fulfillment in your life. We cannot change the past, and we cannot predict what the future will bring, but, we can take charge of our present life, and live more consciously and positively. As a Certified Internal Family Systems therapist, your healing will happen from the inside out. Instead of focusing on the symptoms you are experiencing, we will get to the core issues, and help you heal. IFS is an evidenced based model that empowers you to embody more confidence, courage, clarity, compassion, calm and joy in your life. Check out the IFS Institute website to learn more about IFS.
Life transitions are unavoidable and may bring up feelings of anxiety, fear and sadness. Learning to be mindful and being present with your feelings, can move you through it, instead of feeling stuck in it. I have a great deal of knowledge and experience working with individuals and couples facing divorce, from both a practical as well as emotional standpoint. I incorporate the work of Brene Brown, Phd in my therapy and coaching, as I have trained in her Daring Greatly and Rising Strong programs. Understanding your own core values and aligning this with the way you live your life, can transform the way you experience your life, and help you focus on gratitude, self compassion and deeper connection to those you love.
In addition to my psychotherapy work, I am committed to supporting couples through non-adversarial divorce. My heartfelt goal is to help families experience the least trauma during this stressful time in their family's life, with great emphasis on the needs of your children. I have trained as a Collaborative Divorce Coach and work with a compassionate team of attorneys, other mental health professionals and financial professionals: The Collaborative Divorce Professionals of Fairfield County. We are affiliated with the IACP. Please reach out to learn more about how a Collaborative Divorce can change the future of your family as you are empowered to decide how your divorce will play out, instead of giving over your power to an adversarial divorce and the court system.
